Enter a topic or objective, or upload your lesson (PDF, Word, photo or web page). Pick your grade, subject and curriculum. We write questions aligned to your standards, with an answer key we check, and most assessments are ready in under a minute. You then review each question before you use it.

Yes. On quizzes, tests, benchmarks, IB assessments, exit tickets, formative checks and math sets you go through each question and accept it, edit it, or ask for a new one. Before you see them, we check the answer key (on IB assessments, the task and rubric against your request), fix what we can, and mark anything we couldn't confirm. Anything you change is saved as a new version, and you can go back to earlier ones.
Yes. Build a 1–3 page student guide from any quiz, test, benchmark, formative check or exit ticket you made, or from a topic or uploaded test. Its practice questions mirror the test's skills without copying its questions; close copies are rewritten or removed and borderline ones flagged for you.
Yes. Upload a PDF, Word doc or photo, or paste a web page link. Questions stay grounded in what students actually learned.
Click Improve with AI next to the topic field. Type something like "photosynthesis for 5th graders" and it becomes a clear, measurable objective, with an offer to fill in grade and subject. Or open the brainstorm chat, talk it through, and let it fill in the form. Nothing changes until you accept it.
Yes, on most assessment tools. Turn on scaffolding and the assessment is generated with word banks, sentence starters and simpler language.
Common Core, NGSS, UK National Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE, IB PYP, MYP and DP, CBSE, ICSE, the Australian Curriculum (ACARA), and US state standards including TEKS, California, Florida BEST and New York NGLS. You can also enter your own framework. Set a default in your profile.

Yes. Open your profile, choose Edit profile, and set your region and default curriculum. New assessments use the new labels; older ones keep theirs.
Write your topic or objective in another language and the assessment is usually written in that language too. Check the output before using it; standards codes stay in their original form. The app itself is in English.
Download Word or export to Google Docs on every tool, with separate student and teacher copies where there's an answer key. Exit tickets, quizzes, formative checks, tests, benchmarks and math sets can also go to Google Forms with auto-grading. You can also copy and paste into Canvas, Schoology or any LMS.

This is making it much easier for me to create assessments that are differentiated. So far, I love this tool.
Response from AssessmentWiz: Thank you, your note means a lot! Making multiple versions of the same assessment by hand takes forever. We're happy to give you that time back 😊
helps make exit tickets that are strong to collect data
Response from AssessmentWiz: Thank you, this made our day! So glad the exit tickets are giving you data you can actually use.
I like using the assessments to help me think of ways to assess students and prepare them in the same style as our state assessment
Response from AssessmentWiz: Thank you so much! State-aligned practice is one of the most common ways teachers use AssessmentWiz, alongside differentiation, quick exit tickets, and full unit builds. So glad it's fitting into your 4th and 5th grade classroom.
Awesome so far! However, I can't seem to get the full-length test tool to work. The final button is grayed out. I have tried changing multiple things, including the type of source document.
Response from AssessmentWiz: Thank you, Don! Really appreciate you taking the time to share this, and for flagging the issue you ran into. That was fixed and should be working smoothly for you now. So glad you're liking AssessmentWiz!
